Our certification department ensures that our products meet customer-specific requirements as well as the various regulatory and industry-internal standards, including the Federal Railroad Administration and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. With these and other regulations forming the foundation of our products, the result is world-leading product durability, safety, and reliability.
Accreditation relies upon the technical competence of a laboratory to perform specified tests. It involves on-site assessments as well as ongoing proficiency testing. Our headquarters, located in Plano, Texas, has an accedited laboratory where we perform testing for certifications of the FAA and Boeing. Luminator Technology Group’s ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory allows us to perform meticulous and comprehensive reliability tests to ensure that our customers receive solutions that function even under the most difficult conditions and after the warranty period has expired.

The Luminator Reliability Process was developed in 2004 which provides world class product assessment, reliability test program development, testing and evaluation to the aerospace, defense, mass transit, heavy transportation and the electronics industries. Our customers span the globe and our process has been used successfully to introduce solutions into application environments which range from the harshest exposures on high performance aircraft to complex mobile electronic systems on buses and railcars.
Our solutions comply with environmental standards and so does our organization. We are fully aware of the importance of maintaining the planet’s resources and apply sustainability into our projects. This is reflected in the development of energy-efficient and energy-autonomous solutions, reduction of fuel usage by the design of smaller, lighter on-board solutions and the use of more reliable materials in the manufacturing process.
Luminator production facilities have an established and well-documented quality management system (QMS) in accordance with a ISO 9001: 2015. This program defines our commitment to quality, our system of policies, standards, and procedures designed to achieve end-to-end compliance with customer and regulatory requirements across Luminator Technology Group.
The policy standards provide a common foundation of quality expectations and help to ensure a reliable supply of high-quality products across all our business segments. Subject to an accreditation review annually, internal compliances are audited on a monthly basis to ensure that our QMS is working optimally. As part of our QMS, we keep an online database with corrective measures in order to optimally implement any potential for improvement. Corrective action templates are reviewed by cross-functional teams and then checked for effectiveness. Our corrective action system includes Corrective Action Requests and Corrective Action Reports (CAR), and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR).
Qualified training is essential to the success of a QMS. Luminator team members receive continuous training beginning on day one, and continuing throughout their careers. Achieving continued improvement in the level of expertise of our employees is vital to increase the quality of our solutions.
